After retirement Late Mr. Saikia promoted Arunudai Apartments Pvt. Ltd. in 1987 and took charge as the Managing Director. He left Arunudai Apartments Pvt. Ltd. in 1994 and devoted full time in his job as the Founder Chairman of Meghmallar Estates And Services Pvt. Ltd.
He had vast technical and administrative experiences and was capable of looking after various administrative and operational activities of the business. Under his able guidance, the company has prospered well.
Sri Anup Saikia

Sri Anup Saikia (BE) is one of the founders of the Group. During the period 1979 to 1986, he was associated as promoter of Assam Polyester Co-operative Society (APOL) and actively involved in the process of raising share capital from the general public. He was also involved in the process of preparation of the techno-feasibility report, selection of appropriate technology and also participated in the term loan negotiation with ICICI, IFCI and IDBI. He also participated in discussions with NCDC, which is a nodal agency for development of the co-operative sector, for access/arrangement of funds for the project. The period of involvement was from 1979 to 1986.
Mr. Saikia worked as an Assistant Engineer with Assam State Electricity Board from 1982 to 1987. During this period a high voltage-metering scheme was prepared for monitoring the power CONSUMPTION AND ENERGY LOSS on account of transmission and pilferage for the Lower Assam Region. He was given the charge to synchronize the 2nd 132 KV Rangia – Kahilipara line with the Grid System.
He worked on deputation from ASEB to AMTRON (Assam Electronics Development Corporation Ltd.) from 1987 to 1990. He was responsible for setting up of the R & D Wing of AMTRON. This laboratory was involved in the development of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) for a project named as “Application of Electronics in tea”. This project was founded by the then Department of Electronics (DOT), Government of India.
Mr. Anup Saikia was also involved in setting up of four core group centers at Guwahati, Nowgong, Jorhat and Silchar for training of persons in the repair and maintenance of electronic equipments.
He was actively involved in setting up of several SSI units through entrepreneurs for assembly of TV sets, Voltage Stabilizers, etc and for launching a marketing drive to introduce the AMTRON brand of TV Sets in the market.
He resigned from service in 1990 and joined Arunudai Apartments Pvt. Ltd. as the Chief Executive Officer. He was instrumental in developing the concept of selling ownership flats in this part of the country.
In 1992 he along with his father and his spouse promoted Meghmallar Estates and Services Pvt. Ltd. and ventured afresh into the Real Estate business.
Presently he is the Chainman cum Managing Director of the company and has excelled in the field of construction of residential complexes. Under the aegis of Meghmallar Estates & Services Pvt. Ltd, he has constructed many landmark buildings in Guwahati.

Mrs. Manjureema Saikia

Mrs. Manjureema Saikia is the wife of Mr. Anup Saikia, Managing Director and herself is a working director of the Company.
In 1987 she looked after customer relationship and customer support services for Arunudai Apartments Pvt. Ltd. She promoted Meghmallar Estates And Services Pvt. Ltd. She possesses in depth experience in Interior Decoration and Design works. She is also closely associated with New Art Players.
Mrs. Saikia’s creative capabilities and art of managing manpower has been a major contributing factor for the success of the Company.
Late Bholanath Saikia B.Sc.; B.E.; D.M.C. (U.K.); F.I.E; F.I.E.T.E. was the Founder Chairman of the Company. He was a highly qualified person with rich experience over the years of his service in various capacities especially in the Police Department. He joined HRH Prince of Wales, Institute of Engineering and Technology as Professor of Electrical Engineering in November 1950 and continued to serve there till January 1953.
